This year’s Department Convention is being held at the Montgomery Renaissance. The room rates are going to be $93.00 for a single, $98.00 for a double, $103.00 for a triple, and $108.00 for a quad. If you need a suite or Hospitality Room the rates will start at $240.00 and you will need to contact Kelly Findley direct at 334-532-0700. When making your room reservations you will need to tell the hotel that you are with the American Legion. Make your reservations today the cutoff date is May 18, 2010.

This year's Convention is going to be great, so plan to attend. Here are just a few of many things that are planned. Thursday, there is the Leadership Training Seminar from 12:00 to 4:00 pm, for all of the new officers and anyone who would like to know more about the American Legion. Later Thursday is the reception with entertainment. Friday, Sr. Vice Commander Rico Hall is going to have a band there to play. Saturday is of course elections and the Banquet. Sunday is going to be Memorial Service and the DEC. Please make arrangements to come to this awesome convention.
